Excite Students with Marine Technology! 

The 2019 Great Lakes Regional MATE ROV Competition will be held on Saturday, May 11, at Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary Visitor Center & Outdoor Marine Testing Tank at 500 W. Fletcher Street, Alpena, Michigan.

Public is welcome and encouraged to attend this event (no charge).For results of the 2018 competition and to keep up with all the competition details for 2019 as they are posted head over to our REGIONAL competition webpage here: http://www.michigan.marinetech2.org

Building Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) with students is a great way to introduce marine technology career paths to students. Are you an educator, club leader, or parent interested in learning how to support a student team to participate in this competition either in-school or outside of school?  Contact us and we can help you get started: thunderbay@noaa.gov
